Evita Vasiljeva always keeps a precise record of time, labor and materials used in the process of creating new work, archiving everything in a yellow notebook. Her often large and site-specific sculptures in most cases cannot leave the room after they have been exhibited and have to be destroyed. All that is left are her ‘recipes’ and documentation.
If told correctly it will center on me, 2020 is a passport (or a recipe) for the site-specific work that she realized for a duo exhibition with Dan Walwin at POST Gallery (Kaunas, Lithuania) in 2019. It’s an edition of 15 large size offset lithographies with two overlapping silk screen layers, all hand printed on acid free cotton paper and therefore slightly different.
Commissioned for the P/////AKT Collection in an edition of 14 and 1 AP (signed and numbered) and comes in an archival box.
