An intervention by The Artist
in the context of Artist Crisis Center II: Tact Gear
After their successful retrospective A Short Ride in a Fast Machine at Moira in 2019, The Artist takes shelter in Artist Crisis Center II: Tact Gear by Ieva Kraule-Kuna & Elina Vitola at P/////AKT. Here The Artist will hide from the shame that comes with acknowledging an art practice in dire straits.
The Artist is a collaboration in the form of an (alter) ego of Annabelle Binnerts, Bart Lunenburg and Caz Egelie, used to work on installations relating to conventions about exhibition making and the myths that form around artist practices.
The intervention will be on view from Thursday till Sunday. On Sunday at 2 pm a second intervention will take place, which will be on view for the rest of the afternoon.
The intervention is part of the exhibition program The Space Conductors Are Among Us and it is conceived in collaboration with artist/writer Brenda Tempelaar.
Please note: making a reservation is not required, however a maximum of 15 visitors is allowed inside the space at the same time. Wearing a face mask is mandatory. Please read our covid-19 protocol before your visit.
