Postcards from the edge #16 – Ricardo van Eyk

9 September 2021

Ricardo van Eyk, CYCLE, 2021.
Picture made during the artist’s stay in Bangkok following his solo exhibition PILOT at P/////AKT in 2019.

A physical mobility repair shop on the edge. To keep moving one needs to work; sit; work; rest; work; eat together; work; cherish what’s available; work; sit; work; drink together; work; rest; work.

Ricardo van Eyk is currently building up his solo exhibition at 427 Gallery in Riga – in collaboration with P/////AKT – that will open on the 15th of September 2021. At the same time the artist is also presenting a site-specific installation in our P/////AKTSALON – titled ‘Overture’ – that will be on view at the space from this Saturday 11 September. Here, there, always on the move!

Postcards from the edge is a series of online artist contributions around current and upcoming projects at P/////AKT. By the means of these small ‘notes’ we want to share some insights on the artistic thinking process leading up to exhibitions and presentations at the space. The contributions will be shared regularly through our website and social media channels.
