In the exhibition There is a Hole Inside Your Eye, Lotte Geeven makes the movements of spaces that seem inert perceivable.
In order to do so, she travelled to a 9101-meter deep hole on the Czech border: the deepest accessible gorge in the world, which was created for scientific research purposes. She lowered a hyper sensitive microphone into the abyss in order to record the movements in the deepest layers of the earth. This material served as the basis for a space-filling installation and a film about the fragile data of movement that lie beyond our field of perception.
