During 10 years the unknown Boeykens drew portraits of famous contemporaries and historical figures in distinctively naive style. Much more is known about the diverse company of people he portrayed than about the artist himself. The exhibition was realized in cooperation with the visual artist/collector Eli Content, who came across the Boeykens collection meeting a wholesale buyer in Kampen.
