For 24H East P/////AKT will be turned into a literary dive bar, with text fragments, stories and poetry concerning the impermanent state of things on the menu. We will travel crisscross, through sudden transformations, along sneaking changes, towards absurd, banal, poetic and philosophical reflections on the notions of change as a constant phenomenon within the everyday life.
Lorelinde Verhees’ exhibition will still be in an unfinished state. The reading-bar functions as a first welcome to its theme, probing the relation between the object and the context in which it appears, how they mutually influence and alter each other. Language and text perform the connective part in the process of investigating these relationships.
For 24H East Lorelinde Verhees has invited people to read the texts of their choice to the audience in a relay form, allowing new crisscross relations to occur between different perspectives and approaches.

Tijdens 24H Oost verandert P/////AKT tijdens 24H Oost kortstondig in een literaire dive bar waarin tekstfragmenten, verhalen en poëzie rondom de impermanente staat der dingen op het menu staat.
We reizen kris – cross, via plotselinge transformaties, langs sluipende veranderingen, richting absurde, banale, poëtische en filosofische bespiegelingen over percepties van verandering als constant fenomeen uit het leven van alledag.
De toonstelling van Lorelinde Verhees is op dat moment in opbouw. De voorleesbar tijdens 24H east fungeert als een eerste welkom in de thematiek van de tentoonstelling, die de relatie van het object tot de context waarin het verschijnt aftast, en hoe deze elkaar wederzijds beïnvloeden en veranderen. Taal en tekst spelen een verbindende rol in het procesmatig aftasten van deze relaties.
Lorelinde Verhees nodigt voor 24H Oost een aantal mensen uit om aan elkaar en het publiek hun gekozen teksten in estafettevorm voor te lezen, waarbij opnieuw kris-cross relaties kunnen ontstaan tussen verschillende invalshoeken en vormen van benadering.
